“Jesus asked them ‘Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures?’ ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the LORD’s doing, and it is wonderful to see’.” (Matthew 21 v 42 NLT)
The joy of finding salvation depends upon prayer.
Prayer is a journey of discovery,
A stepping stone leading to spiritual progress.
We ask the Lord God to address us.
We strive to put God at the centre of life,
Allowing His Spirit to invade us,
Drawing us closer to the sinless Lord Jesus.
He teaches us to love and be loved.
This is a special blessing, this teaching.
“Anyone who keeps on sinning does not know Him or understand who He is...those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them.” (1 John 3 v 6, 9 NLT)
A blessing addressing both the needs and wants,
The inadequacies, discrepancies and shortfall of humanity.
Praying adds to the fullness of holy love,
Turning heart and mind away from ourselves.
We focus instead, on the Lord Jesus,
Seeking His life of love for each of us.
Solidarity becomes an aim for our activity.
Brought about by closeness to Christ Jesus.
In prayer we encounter love in all its holy power of the Spirit.
“It is the culture of encounter. Isolation, no; closeness, yes. Culture clash, no; culture of encounter, yes.” (“Fratelli tutti 30” Pope Francis)
“Once more we realised that no one is saved alone; we can only be saved together.” (“Fratelli tutti 32” Pope Francis)
Please pray that many more come to recognise the Lord Jesus as He is, our Saviour, the living Word of God portraying truth.
